Keeping Your Seller Rating Strong On Ebay Builds Trust From Potential Buyers
I often sell comic books on Ebay because its strong e-commerce features. Reselling books I’ve read and no longer want is great way to continue to fuel my hobby. However, if there’s one thing I’ve learned is that my seller rating is so important. If I want people to buy from me, I need them to trust me. If I want people to trust me, I’ve got to protect my seller rating. In Ebay, both buyers and sellers can leave feedback. Feedback comes as a positive, negative or neutral ranking. It also includes a short statement. Buyer feedback has very little importance. Most people will sell to you, even if you have negative feedback. But if you have negative feedback as a seller, many people will not want to buy from you. This is obviously the last thing you want. You need people to trust you enough to buy from you, else you won’t be making money. So protect your seller feedback. A key way is to offer great customer service. If I have someone complain, even if I think they may not be telling the truth, I go out of my way to extend trust and good customer service. This even includes offering to accept returns. Also make sure to package the item well before you send it so the buyer knows you care about them receiving it in good condition. Definitely make sure you communicate well, and send the item with 48 hours of payment being received.
