Increasing Your Event Attendance

Increasing your event attendance needs proper event management. People want to see high standards in events and this can only be achieved when some things of great importance are factored in. The design of your event must be created in a pleasing way that is able to attract people. There is no way a boring set up will draw people to your function and keep them there up to the end of the function. The public address system to be used must be of a good quality. Public address systems have been a cause of failure in many events where by, a large multitude is not able to hear or grasp what is happening. Depending on the number of people you expect in your event, selecting and allocating the appropriate PA system will greatly influence the flow of people into your event. It is therefore, of great importance to give this aspect the weight it carries.

A lot of people mix different marketing concepts like brand identity, brand image and the like. It is important for a marketer and a company to differentiate between them, in order to devise a successful marketing strategy. Brand identity means positioning your product in the market in a way you want your customers to perceive it.

To achieve the desired brand identity that the company has in mind; it creates logos, symbols and designs its marketing campaign to promote one single message across through different channels. On the other hand brand image is how the customers actually perceive your brand when it is in the market. If the company’s efforts to create brand identity are successful, then the customers will perceive the product just as the company wants them to perceive. However, if it is not done correctly then it can badly hurt your brand.

So, a lot of you might be wondering as to how to go about creating brand identity successfully. Well, for that the most important thing is to select a value proposition. Attention to Detail

It is often the case that when graphic designers or web designers present their work to others, the average person may think that the finished design is ninety per cent there. However, the detail savvy designer knows that it is only half way there. And if the average person were to come back in a week and see the same image on your screen, he may wonder at how little you have advanced in a week. It is only when you put the before and after next to one another and zoom in a bit, can the average person appreciate the difference and the improvements that have been made. Attention to detail is really what separates designers from non-designers and what also separates good designers from average designers. It is all too common for graphic designers to feel rushed because of tight deadlines. But if you are passionate about your work, you’ll work those extra hours at night and over the weekend to ensure that by the time you present something, it is as polished as you want it to be. The worst feeling for a designer can be that of regret: “I wish I had tried this instead”. This is especially true for logo designers and print designers. With web designers there is always that luxury of being able to go back and make updates. So how do you avoid that feeling of regret? The first thing to do is to be willing to experiment as much as possible from the outset, and don’t be afraid to throw your ideas in the bin and start over again. Once you have made your design choices, you must stick with them and stay consistent. Finish all the details. Don’t tell yourself “I don’t have time to do this” or “I’ll come back to it later”. Make the time. It is these little design details that will make the difference in the end. Make a habit of taking a short break away from what you are doing and then come back to it and be your own critic. Either work on something else for a bit, or just take a quick break. Come back and look at your work and ask yourself questions you would like others to answer. Be obsessive about your design. Obsessive compulsive behaviour is a good quality for designers. It just has to be channelled in the right direction. There’s no point obsessing about a design for two or three days that I end up scrapping. Nothing is more frustrating than knowing you have wasted half of your week and you are still on square one. Design is like a jigsaw puzzle you create for yourself. But before you start putting the pieces together, you need to make sure you have the right picture in mind.
